Rapper Vanilla Ice Arrested for Burglary and Theft, He Claims its was all a 'misunderstanding'

 

They say the singer, also known as Robert Van Winkle, was arrested over accusations of breaking into and stealing from an abandoned Florida home, near a house he was working on. Police say that some of the stolen items, including furniture and bicycles, were found at his home.

Mr Van Winkle sold 15 million copies of the single Ice Ice Baby in 1990. He was one of the leading white rappers at the time, but in recent years his singing career has faded.

Police say that the items he allegedly stole have been returned to the owner of a vacant property next door to the home Mr Van Winkle is renovating.

However, Vanilla Ice, was released from custody on Wednesday. The 47-year-old said it had been a misunderstanding and "it will all be cleared up".
